Why is this notification important?
This page describes how this site is managed in regards to how site users’ personal data are used. This information is also provided pursuant to Article 13 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 – Regulations governing the protection of personal data provided by those who use De Rigo S.p.A.’s web services, accessible via Internet at the following addresses: localhost corresponding to the home page of the De Rigo S.p.A. Lozza site. This information is provided only for the De Rigo S.p.A. Lozza site and does not apply to other websites that the user may visit through links. This information is also based on Recommendation 2/2001, which the European Authorities, convened under the Working Party formed by Article 29 of Directive 95/46/EC, adopted on May 17, 2001, to specify certain minimum requirements for collecting on-line personal data, and in particular, the methods, times and nature of the information that the data controllers must provide to users when they visit web pages, independent from the scope of their visit. Where the data are processed
The processing connected to this site’s web services takes place at the aforementioned office of De Rigo S.p.A. and is only performed by the personnel charged with data processing, or by any personnel charged with occasional maintenance operations. No data originating from web services is communicated or shared. Personal data provided by users who submit requests to receive informational material (bulletins, CD-ROMs, newsletters, annual reports, responses to inquiries, regulatory disclosures and provisions, etc.) are used solely for the purpose of performing the requested services and are communicated to third parties only if necessary for this purpose.
Types of data processed
The computer systems and software procedures that manage this site’s functions collect certain personal data over the course of their normal operations, the transmission of which is implicit through the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected to be associated with identified parties, but by their own nature may allow for users to be identified through the processing and association of data owned by third parties. The data that fall under this category include IP addresses or computer domain names employed by users who connect to the site, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation addresses of requested resources, the time of request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numeric code indicating the status of the response given by the server (correctly processed, error, etc.), and other parameters related to the user’s operating system and computer environment. This data is used for the sole purpose of extracting anonymous statistical information on site usage and to ensure that it functions correctly, and is immediately deleted after being processed. This data may be used to ascertain responsibility in case of hypothetical cybercrime causing damage to the site. With exception to this possibility, currently web contact data is not kept for more than seven days.
Voluntarily supplied user data
Optionally, explicitly, and voluntarily sending an email to the addresses provided on this site consequently provides the sender’s address, which is necessary to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data entered into the message. Specific summarized information will be reported as it becomes available or displayed on the pages of the site which are dedicated for particular services on request.
No personal user data is collected by the site with regards to cookies. Cookies are not used to transmit personal information, nor are any type of persistent cookies, or rather user tracking systems, used. The use of session cookies (which are not persistently stored on the user’s computer and disappear once the browser is closed) is strictly limited to transmit session identification information (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to allow for the site to be safely and efficiently browsed. The session cookies used on this site avoid recourse to other computer techniques which are potentially detrimental to user browsing privacy and do not allow for the user’s personal identification data to be collected.
Optional data transfer
Apart from that which is specified for browsing data, the user is free to provide their personal data contained in the request forms. Failure to provide this data may make it impossible to fulfill a request. Processing procedures Personal data are processed with automated tools strictly for the time necessary to fulfill the purposes for which they were collected. Specific security measures are observed to prevent the loss of, illicit or incorrect use of, or unauthorized access to data.
